I’m lucky to be able to say that my career in journalism began with an internship in the food and dining section of the Washington City Paper. I worked directly under then-food editor Tim Carman, who has since moved on to The Washington Post. I was not only responsible for aggregating daily Washington, D.C.-based food news for City Paper’s website, but I also authored a weekly column detailing my experiences at local international eateries dubbed “The Foreign Ingestor.”
